The trucking business, or the movement of goods between locations, even across great distances, is considered as the strength of the Indian economy. Motor Vehicle Amendment 2019 is one such law that incorporates clauses increasing fines for certain road traffic violations with the objective of encouraging discipline among motorists. This is in addition to the development of more severe regulations on the issuance of licenses to drivers of commercial motor vehicles in the effort to encourage training and retraining of drivers.
